Music has an impact on creating a great salon atmosphere. In fact, most people want to hear recorded music when they visit a salon, say it makes a salon more inviting and even say they are more likely to recommend a salon that plays recorded music they like.
If you are playing recorded music in your hair salon, beauty or massage therapy rooms, health spa or tanning/nail salon, you will require the consent of the copyright holders. You can obtain this permission from a vast number of labels and artists from New Zealand and worldwide by applying for a PPNZ music licence.

A 5% discount is available for all members of the NZ Association of Registered Hairdressers. PPNZ also makes an annual
contribution to NZARH to support the Oceanic Hairdressing Master Award Competition & other NZARH industry initiatives.
Your application will be processed by a member of our licensing team and you will receive your invoice and annual PPNZ licence within 14 days.
This licence covers the 12 month period from the date of your application and a renewal notice will be sent to you automatically at the end of this period.
