Music has an influence on creating a welcoming and relaxed environment for cinema patrons. Whether this is in the foyer area, or in a cinema before a movie begins, recorded music is the easiest and best way to create a great atmosphere.
PPNZ offers a public performance music licence to the cinema industry at a flat rate of $165.00 (exc GST) per cinema screen.
Your application will be processed by a member of our licensing team and you will receive your invoice and annual PPNZ licence within 14 days. This licence covers the 12 month period from the date of your application and a renewal notice will be sent to you automatically at the end of this period.
If recorded music is also played in a foyer/bar area, you may require an additional hospitality licence.
